Itโ€™s time for my monthly favorites! It’s been a few months since I’ve shared our favorite items, so I have quite a bit to share with you today!

Here is everything weโ€™ve used and loved latelyโ€ฆ

Food

GoMacro Bars – I’ve been loving these (specifically the oatmeal chocolate chip flavor) for a quick breakfast on the go or a snack in the afternoon.

GoMacro Kids Bars – My kids also love the same version, and these mini kids ones are the perfect size. I’ve worked on getting away from so many packaged snacks, but I try to keep these on hand for if we’re not at home, since they can get a quick hit of protein at the very least!

Sparkling Ice Flavored Water – We had these at a family birthday party and my husband fell in love with them, so we’ve been keeping them in the fridge. He loves all the lemonade-based flavors; my favorite is the peach!

Clothes/Beauty

Quince Crescent Shoulder/Crossbody Bag – This bag is so gorgeous and at such a fantastic price point. I got a large size in taupe to use an everyday shoulder bag when I want something a little nicer than my beloved everyday crossbody bag, and then got a mini in white to wear as a crossbody in the summer.

Tweezerman Slant Tweezers – I needed new ones and love the slant and grip on these.

It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In – I’ve used this for years but ran out recently and thought I’d try to get by without it; nope, I could tell a huge difference!

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray – A prime day purchase for me, love the little oomph it gives my hair without being stiff or too drying.

Scalp Massager – In an effort to boost hair growth, I started using this scalp massager before getting in the shower. It feels relaxing and I’m not sure if it’s this or anything else, but the last few times I’ve washed my hair, I’ve had significantly less shedding.

Boho Beaded Necklace – I bought this at the beginning of summer just for something different and casual, as most of my other necklaces are metal. It’s a nice change of pace and cute for summer.

TYMO Automatic Rotating Curling Iron – I bought this a few months ago after seeing a Facebook ad and wasn’t sure if it would actually work well, but oh my goodness, this is AMAZING. I am so bad at curling my own hair, and this makes it easy and effortless; I don’t curl my hair often, but I’ve used this three times now and I’m so happy I bought it!

House

Weekly Planner Notepadย โ€“ I bought this in November because, even though we have and use a Google calendar, apparently, if I donโ€™t look at it, I forget whatโ€™s going on. This has been SO helpful, I fill it out each week and put it on the fridge. Itโ€™s also been great because the kids have always routinely asked โ€œwhat do we have tomorrow?โ€ or โ€œis there anything going on after school todayโ€? Now itโ€™s all right there, and they look at it every day and know who has a practice or after-school activity, doctorโ€™s appointment, or anything else. I LOVE this!

Smart Bird Feederย โ€“ We got my father-in-law one of these for his birthday earlier this year and my husband was so enamored with it that I got HIM one for HIS birthday shortly thereafter. We all love this; itโ€™s so fun to see the different types of birds that show up!

OxiClean Max Force Laundry Stain Remover Spray – Still my go-to stain remover and the summer has meant a lot of grass stains and chocolate ice cream stains ๐Ÿ˜…

Gel Ice Headache Relief Cap – This was one of my prime day purchases, as I thought it would bring some great relief when I get a bad headache. I still haven’t used it yet, but my husband had a monster headache recently and used it, and said it was phenomenal and so comfortable.

28-Piece Birthday Candles Set – After being stuck a couple of times in recently months without two of the same number candle for when we celebrated birthdays at our house, I grabbed this set so I’ll always have what we need!

Bamboo Drawer Dividers – LOVE these for organizing the kids’ drawers. When they were little I used those little canvas boxes, which worked for baby/toddler sized things, but they had long outgrown them, and I finally grabbed these a month or so ago. They work perfectly and they were all so excited to keep things more tidy in their drawers.

Lands End Tote Bags – I bought a large and extra-large earlier in the year when they were having a big sale and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. I used them for vacation (I was able to pack ALL of the clothes for ALL three kids in the extra-large one), and I’ve been using the bigger one as a pool bag all summer. I love all of the interior pockets and that there is one on the outside. I definitely recommend the zipper and long handles.

Back to School Purchases

I bought a bunch of the standard crayons, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, notebooks, etc. that aren’t really noteworthy (I always price check Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Staples and get them wherever has the best price), but these are a few items I wanted to highlight:

Large Capacity Pencil Pouch – Both Joseph and Isabelle need pouches (as opposed to pencil boxes) this year, and I found this pouch that they both love and are excited to use. It’s enormous and can fit so much inside. It also has a zippered front that Isabelle put glue sticks and scissors in, as well as a back section that zippers open and lays flat with slots for pencils/pens (she put all of her colored pencils back there).

Heavy Duty Plastic Folders – We have gone through a bunch of different brands/types of folders over the years and these are, by far, the best. The hold up the entire school year, even when shoved haphazardly (ahem) into backpacks. You can buy them in a variety pack or in specific colors.

L.L. Bean Backpacks – My kids are all on multiple years with these backpacks; they have held up incredibly well. The boys have these Explorer versions and Isabelle has this original size.

PlanetBox Lunchboxes – Another item that has stood the test of time; we got one of these for Joseph when he was a toddler so we could pack food for him when we’d go somewhere, given his food allergies. He’s now going into 5th grade (what!) and still uses the same one; Dominic and Isabelle have each had one since kindergarten, too. Highly recommend these!!

PackIt Freezable Snack Bag – Another one we’ve been using for two or three years now, each of our kids (and I) have one. Perfect for taking snacks to school that need to stay refrigerated, like yogurt or fruit. We use them in the summer for the same reason, and I’ve used it for traveling with Dominic’s medicine in the past, and my sister used it recently for taking home extra formula. Love these!

Kids

Short-Sleeve Boys Rash Guard Shirt – I grabbed this for Joseph for the summer; I love how bright it is – perfect for spotting kids at the pool!

Another Boys Short-Sleeve Rash Guard Shirt – Dominic got this one (they didn’t have the colors/size for Joseph, which is why he got a different one), but love this one, too… they are both great options.

Girls Short Sleeve Rash Guard Swim Set – This was Isabelle’s new swimsuit this year; the two-piece option made it MUCH easier for trips to the restroom, but she loved that it was still a t-shirt style on top. Rash guards were just not a thing when I was a kid, but as the sunscreen-applier, it makes it sooo much easier and no burned shoulders!

Boys Above Knee StretchTech Shorts – Dominic has been living in these this summer; they are super lightweight and he says super comfortable. They can be worn casually, but you could also throw a polo shirt on and they dress up well, too.

Under Armour Boys 2-in-1 Shorts – Another of Dominic’s favorite summer shorts; these are definitely just athletic shorts, but he loves the compression layer underneath.

3-Piece Kids Knife Setย โ€“ Believe me when I say that aside from being great kids knives, these are absolutely perfect at cuttingย browniesย โ€“ super clean cuts, no messy crumbs! My kids each have a set of these for helping in the kitchen, but I grab them anytime I need to cut brownies. A great gift idea for kids interested in being in the kitchen; my kids have been using them a lot lately.
