A Big, Big, BIG Announcement!!
Einstein and Duke have some very exciting news to share…

The BEB family is expanding, and no, we are not getting another dog ;-)
WE’RE HAVING A BABY!!!
I am 14 weeks today and little (two-legged) baby brother or sister is due to arrive around January 12, 2015. We are SO excited and I’ve been dying to tell you all!
No crazy cravings yet, and only one specific food aversion. You may have noticed a drop off in recipes containing, of all things… chocolate. Ugh! I can do a little chocolate if it’s in something else, like a chocolate swirl in ice cream, or a peanut butter cup (!), but forget about things like chocolate ice cream, cake or brownies. I haven’t wanted it at all, and when I do eat just a little bit, I feel sick. What a bummer, I hope this passes!

Aside from some nausea during weeks 6-10, the only other really negative symptom I’ve had is some mind-numbing exhaustion. Holy crap, some days I was almost in tears just because I was SO TIRED. I’ve never been much of a napper (well, since college, anyway!), but napping has become an almost daily occurrence for me. Some days I know I need to go lay down and sleep for awhile, and others I just randomly pass out on the couch.
On a positive note, I finally have the beginnings of a bump! I was so excited to start seeing a belly show up :)
(Apologies for the dog hair all over my shirt – the pups are shedding like crazy right now and I was hugging them before we took this picture.)

I’ll certainly be keeping you updated as things move along, and am so excited to finally share this news with you! ❤️

Congratulations!!!! Wishing you have happy and easy pregnancy!

Congratulations! I’m at the tailend of my pregnancy (due in 2 weeks!) but can remember how exciting it was to first see the bump. I can also remember the nausea and exhaustion! :) Best wishes for a smooth pregnancy!

Congrats Michelle! I’m so happy for you and the family! I, too, hope your chocolate aversion passes because I so love your sweet recipes!
Congrats!!
Congrats to you!!!
Congratulations! So sad to have an aversion to chocolate…but well worth the temporary suffrage.
What fantastic news. The boys are going to be great big brothers.
Now you are going to have a first-hand opportunity to create recipes and provide helpful food hints for other pregnant women who are experiencing similar food/smell aversions and the other accompanying symptoms of pregnancy.
I’m sure that new mothers will anxiously await your baby food recipes when the time comes.
Don’t worry about the exhaustion, take it easy for now while your body adjusts. As your pregnancy progresses you will find your energy level increasing.
Exercise, eat healthy, take your prenatal vitamins and enjoy!
Yay! Congrats! I’m due on January 18th, so we’re basically twins. Except this is my 2nd child (but my third pregnancy), so my bump popped out much sooner and I already look like I’m 7 months pregnant. Whatevs.
Awww congrats! That’s so exciting to hear about!!
CONGRATULATIONS MICHELLE!
Truly a blessing!
Congrats..
Congratulations!! So happy for you!! And you enjoy those naps. You are working hard growing that baby!
Hugging them? More like wrestling them into their big brother shirts, right?
Congratulations!
How very exciting, I’ve been reading you since about a year after you started blogging, so I feel like an old friend just gave me the big news!
Don’t feel bad about not able to touch chocolate, it’s a bummer, but the craving will return…. I LOVE chocolate but couldn’t even smell it when I was pregnant with my daughter… Not sure what happens there, but both she and I are BBBIIIGGGGG chocolate fans!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
