A Big, Big, BIG Announcement!!
Einstein and Duke have some very exciting news to share…

The BEB family is expanding, and no, we are not getting another dog ;-)
WE’RE HAVING A BABY!!!
I am 14 weeks today and little (two-legged) baby brother or sister is due to arrive around January 12, 2015. We are SO excited and I’ve been dying to tell you all!
No crazy cravings yet, and only one specific food aversion. You may have noticed a drop off in recipes containing, of all things… chocolate. Ugh! I can do a little chocolate if it’s in something else, like a chocolate swirl in ice cream, or a peanut butter cup (!), but forget about things like chocolate ice cream, cake or brownies. I haven’t wanted it at all, and when I do eat just a little bit, I feel sick. What a bummer, I hope this passes!

Aside from some nausea during weeks 6-10, the only other really negative symptom I’ve had is some mind-numbing exhaustion. Holy crap, some days I was almost in tears just because I was SO TIRED. I’ve never been much of a napper (well, since college, anyway!), but napping has become an almost daily occurrence for me. Some days I know I need to go lay down and sleep for awhile, and others I just randomly pass out on the couch.
On a positive note, I finally have the beginnings of a bump! I was so excited to start seeing a belly show up :)
(Apologies for the dog hair all over my shirt – the pups are shedding like crazy right now and I was hugging them before we took this picture.)

I’ll certainly be keeping you updated as things move along, and am so excited to finally share this news with you! ❤️

I am very happy for you….I hope your pregnancy goes well and that you have a healthy baby.
Congratulations!!!!!!
If you’re not sick of hearing it yet, congratulations! I can attest that golden retrievers make EXCELLENT baby sitters- my mom loves to tell the story of how she found two year old me taking a nap in the doghouse with the puppies.
Congrats!! So exciting!
Congrats! I’m a long time follower of your blog and frequent baker of your recipes. So excited for you!
CONGRATULATIONS! I slept through most of my first trimester(s) but then was fine! ENJOY!
Congratulations!
Congrats! What a cute baby bump!
Congrats! I had no desire of chocolate when pregnant for my son, but loved chocolate ice cream with my daughter. It’s very strange. Good luck!
Awesome news, congrats!
Congrats!! :)
Aww YAY! Huge congratulations, Michelle & CCC! I totally empathize with you – I couldn’t handle chocolate with either of my pregnancies. Best wishes for a healthy and easy pregnancy :)
Congratulations, Michelle! Enjoy your pregnancy! :)
WONDERFUL!! And I hope the chocolate aversion goes away soon! I’ve had just the opposite. I would like everything chocolate all the time always. Best of luck for a healthy pregnancy!
How exciting! In a couple of weeks you’ll be able to find out the sex, will you tell us? I have no advice for the aversions or tiredness, I didn’t have that in my 3 pregnancies, but instead gained over 50# with each, so there’s that. But, I do recommend that you read, “Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way” – even if you plan to have drugs at your birth, this is hands down the best book explaining the process of childbirth and the emotional phases a laboring women goes through. That’s my $.02.
Congratulations, may you be free of morning sickness and have a painless delivery!
say goodbye to life as you know it and hello to lots of bills (and I mean that in a good way) God bless you and your new family.
Congratulations! I’m so happy for you. I look forward to seeing pics of the new little one. You’re due just a month after my daughter. (grandbaby # 8) Duke is just a couple weeks younger than our Dixie. She’s a black lab & rottweiler mix. It’s fun to compare their growth.
I am a loyal follower and therefore I feel like I know you (that’s probably creepy)! But this is SO EXCITING, and congratulations! Your pregnancy so far sounds similar to both of mine…mild nausea, very tired, and more food aversions than cravings. I have a girl and boy and both pregnancies were almost identical, just the aversions changed, so I can’t offer a guess as to what it might be! But YAY!
Wao Michelle, these are super happy news. Thousands of blessings for you!
What wonderful news! Enjoy every minute of this most amazing time in your life. You will know no other love that will consume you like that of this little miracle.
Congratulations!!!
Yay!! Congratulations!! I just love those pups too, they look just like my Lily :)
