A Big, Big, BIG Announcement!!
Einstein and Duke have some very exciting news to share…

The BEB family is expanding, and no, we are not getting another dog ;-)
WE’RE HAVING A BABY!!!
I am 14 weeks today and little (two-legged) baby brother or sister is due to arrive around January 12, 2015. We are SO excited and I’ve been dying to tell you all!
No crazy cravings yet, and only one specific food aversion. You may have noticed a drop off in recipes containing, of all things… chocolate. Ugh! I can do a little chocolate if it’s in something else, like a chocolate swirl in ice cream, or a peanut butter cup (!), but forget about things like chocolate ice cream, cake or brownies. I haven’t wanted it at all, and when I do eat just a little bit, I feel sick. What a bummer, I hope this passes!

Aside from some nausea during weeks 6-10, the only other really negative symptom I’ve had is some mind-numbing exhaustion. Holy crap, some days I was almost in tears just because I was SO TIRED. I’ve never been much of a napper (well, since college, anyway!), but napping has become an almost daily occurrence for me. Some days I know I need to go lay down and sleep for awhile, and others I just randomly pass out on the couch.
On a positive note, I finally have the beginnings of a bump! I was so excited to start seeing a belly show up :)
(Apologies for the dog hair all over my shirt – the pups are shedding like crazy right now and I was hugging them before we took this picture.)

I’ll certainly be keeping you updated as things move along, and am so excited to finally share this news with you! ❤️

CONGRATS!!! As a mom of 5 I know how excited you must be feeling!
Wonderful news!
Denise
So so excited for you guys! Congratulations!!
Congratulations Michelle!!! Good things happen in threes- you, Jessica @howsweeteats… Who is next?!!
Congratulations Michelle! I am so excited for you!! Years ago when I first got pregnant, before I actually knew, I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. I was 20 and it was 3:00 in the afternoon and I was so tired. I kept thinking “what is wrong with me?” Of course when I found out why it made total sense. With my 1st pregnancy I couldn’t eat anything spicy or I got really bad indigestion, with the 2nd pregnancy it was summer and I love fresh tomatoes and corn on the cob – but if I even thought about eating them I felt sick. Isn’t that funny how everyone has a food they normally love but can’t eat? You will now have another Culinary Consultant to try your dishes out on!!! I had to laugh at myself when I saw your bump. When I was 40, long after my two children were born, after years of having a flat stomach, I got a bump, I guess it’s my 40 year old bump? I can’t for the life of me get rid of it. Not dieting or anything else has worked, so I’ve grown to accept it. Sorry, but it was just funny to see your bump because it something I see all the time on me and that just made me laugh. :) Enjoy your pregnancy and remember, you can always come back to your readers here for advice/questions, we’ll be glad to give it!
Congratulations! There is nothing quite as exciting as a new baby. The little bump is adorable. I’m looking forward to watching it grow. I have teenagers now, so I am always thrilled about new babies.
Congratulations! And the pups look adorable as always =)
Congratulations!!
Congrats!!! Big Hugs for all Four of You!!
Congratulations and best wishes!!!! You’re going to have a beautiful and well fed baby!!!!
Congratulations to you both (well… four of you:))!!!!!!
Congratulations! I’m thinking that maybe a chocolate aversion is better than a chocolate obsession

Congratulations from our crew here in Menomonee Falls! May your little one never know anything other than good food, fellowship, the joy of cooking (for oneself, for the challenge of creation, and for the love of others), and how awesome it is to have Einstein and Duke for furry bigger brothers!

Awesome news! Congratulations! Love your blog (it’s my favorite!) and love love love Einstein and Duke. Let us know if they sense your pregnancy! Best wishes to your growing family.
Congrats! For all of you! The boys will be such great big brothers! They can get on each side of her/him and teach her/him to walk! Get pictures!
OMG!! Congratulations!!! My daughter was born on 1/12/74. I couldn’t stand ham and I LOVE ham!! I craved peanut butter and I wasn’t a peanut butter lover, though I like it now. Go Figure!! And tired!!! Oh, Girl…… talk about tired!!! But once the doctor adjusted my vitamins and I got more air and exercise, I felt more lively.
You enjoy your pregnancy. We can live without the chocolate recipes (maybe,) until you get back in the mood. Again, congratulations!! :) So exciting!!
Congratulations!

Congratulations that is great news. Tiredness and aversion to perfume, coffee – I remember it well but it passes and is so worth it.
