Party of Five, Here We Come!
We are so thrilled to share that our little family is growing and we’re expecting another little bundle of joy!!
Little BEB baby #3 is due on April 8th, but will likely come before that, since it will be a scheduled c-section.

My husband typed up this super fun “pregnancy alert” and texted it to our family at the same time when everyone was at our house to make the announcement (have I mentioned that he has all of the creative brains in our relationship?)…

I was 15 weeks along yesterday, and there’s definitely a bump starting to show! So far, the pregnancy has gone very well. My first trimester was very much the same as it was with both Joseph and Dominic – some nausea, but I never actually got sick, so I consider myself lucky. I suffered from mind-numbing exhaustion through about 10 days ago, and then I felt like a fog had lifted, finally! I haven’t had any crazy cravings, but during the entire first trimester really all I wanted were salty savory things, especially a Wendy’s junior bacon cheeseburger with fries!
We are absolutely thrilled to be giving Joseph and Dominic another sibling! Dominic obviously has no idea what’s going on, and Joseph goes back and forth between an excited, “oh little baby coming!” to a flat out “NO” when we talk to him about it.
I had an ultrasound around the 8 week mark, and apparently since I was pregnant with Dominic they stopped printing out ultrasound pictures to hand you at the end, instead they email them to you; the tech also included a little video she captured of the heart beating. It never ceases to amaze me and leave me in total awe when I think about what a miracle the whole process is to grow a baby, and seeing that little heart beat took my breath away ♥
I’ll be sure to provide updates along the way; thank you all for sharing in these wonderful journeys of life with me!

congratulations, take care
Thank you!!
Congratulations! I am so excited for all of you! May you have an easy time for the rest of your pregnancy & I pray that the c-section is without incident (other than that sweet baby!)
Thank you Laurie!
Congratulations!!! But you better watch out, now you two will be out-numbered. haha
Haha yes, we need to switch to a zone defense! ;-)
Fantastic news! Congratulations to you, your husband, and your boys!
Thank you Amy!
Congratulations! What a blessing! It’s been amazing to watch your family grow. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you!! :)
Best wishes for a healthy and happy baby. May your pregnancy be happy, healthy and carefree.
Thank you so much!
Fabulous news!! Fingers crossed for an unremarkable pregnancy. Si great that you didn’t have to endure what Dutchess Kate did with her 3D pregnancy and her preceding ones…. While either gender is most welcome and the tiny cutie is healthy, etc., I’m hoping it’s a girl this time! Imagine the stories you’ll write about the big brothers taking care of, and looking out for, their baby sister 👶🏻. (That includes Duke as the fur brother.). …All of your friends and fans will be waiting (patiently??!-nah!) for news. Take good care of yourself & your precious boys. 🍼
Thank you Rita! I appreciate the kind words :)
Congratulations! This is exciting news.
Thank you Pat!
Terrific news! I so love following you with all your family pictures and now your next bundle of joy next April! Congratulations!
Thank you so much Maureen!
Wonderful news! Congrats on baby #3! I love your husband’s creativity! It must have been fun to actually watch the news spread right before your eyes. I remember we told our family about our second at our first’s birthday party. We had the whole thing planned out…but apparently is was too cryptic because it went right over everyone’s heads lol! So, we had to just say it…and say it more than once before it actually sank in :/ I guess it really WAS a surprise! Wishing you a wonderful pregnancy :)
Thank you Ramona! Haha that kind of happened here… there was a lot of confusion, and then we had to clarify, and THEN a lot of excitement and shrieking (and then Joseph cried because he got scared lol).
Congratulations! I’m so happy for your family! <3
Thanks so much Lecy!
Congratulations, I had 3 close together so ignore all the folks that are going to tell you how hard it is. It isn’t. I always said that 1st one was the game changer…not the subsequent ones. 2 exciting pregnancies to watch for Spring…you and the Duchess of Cambridge. Yahoohoo. God Bless.
Thank you Carla! We’re so excited that they will all be so close in age!
Congratulations! How absolutely wonderful! Blessings upon you and your entire family!
Thank you!! :)
Awwwww. Congrats. I’m so happy for you.!!!! And I know Pittsburg as great medical services. C-sections are not fun – but baby is so worth it!! And on another note, and I hope you don’t think I’m being to0 forward, but every time I see another ultrasound or hear of a pregnancy announcement, I do say a little prayer for the millions of woman dealing with infertility and the suffering they are enduring. Although I love these announcements, I know personally the pang they do on those who have spent countless years (and their whole bank account) on trying to get pregnant. So may every woman who desires to be a mom do so. Wishing you many blessings!!!!!!
Wow, thank you, Laura. As someone who has been struggling with secondary infertility for 18 months, has spent $10,000 on fertility treatments to date, is unable to give her only child a sibling, and recently suffered a miscarriage of a baby that would have been due in April, this post was a major unexpected trigger for me. I was just looking for a recipe, and now I’m distraught. A pregnancy announcement is one thing, but this was something else. I’m a longtime BEB reader and would like to say congratulations to Michelle and her family, but I will have to stay away from this blog for awhile. This may sound bitter and petty to anyone who has not experienced infertility, but unless you have it is a pain you cannot understand and the triggers are daily and endless.
Im so sorry Megan …you are in my prayers.
Megan, I’m so sorry that this post upset you, my thoughts as prayers to you and your husband, xo.
Wishing you and your gorgeous growing family all the best! Your recipes and blog make my day. Haters gonna hate mama ;)
What a horrible, selfish and immature comment to this fantastic news! Hope you stay off til you grow up a bit or catch some new manners! Maybe it’s better really if you rethink your comments and publicly apologize. Everybody knows this blog is about family and food AND it’s actually titled Gender Reveal so….yeh. Jeez.
Congrats!
Thank you!
So happy for you. They will grow up so connected because of their ages. My mother had 3 of us in 29 months. You are a great mom and a great baker as well.
Thank you Nancy! They will be 3 in 38 months, so she has me beat! We were hoping to have them close together, so we feel very blessed.
What wonderful news!! Congratulations you all. I can’t wait to see if it will be a boy or a girl!
Thank you Carol!
Congrats! Sounds like you’re competing with me. I had 7 sons in 12 years, 5 of them within 5 1/2 years! My husband has three. They are all grown up now and have given us 18 grandchildren and one great so far! It’s a wonderful life!
Oh my Nancy, I think you have me beat! And I don’t think I’ll make it to 7, ha! Love the thought of a large family though!
CONGRATULATIONS!! I am so thrilled for you and can’t wait to watch your family expand again. Thank you for sharing this. It just made my day! Prayers for an easy pregnancy and a healthy pregnancy.
Oops! That should read and a healthy baby!

OMG amazing!! Congrats girlie! So happy for your and your family. I hope you have a girl this time- how cool would it be to be the youngest with 2 big brothers! She’d be so protected. I’m in the middle child in a family of boys and I absolutely love it. Either way, that is amazing and I wish you all the best!
Thank you Angela! :)
