Peanut Butter Snickers Cookies

So, these are pretty much some of the most awesome cookies that I have ever had. Ever.
Imagine the most perfect peanut butter cookie, then throw in chunks of Snickers candy bars and milk chocolate chips and you have all that is good with the world in these cookies. I’m always looking to do something new with peanut butter and chocolate and as soon as I saw these I knew that they were the perfect spin on some of my favorite things.

Snickers fall in line behind peanut butter cups in terms of my all-time favorite candy and I typically cannot resist anything that involves them. The original recipe for these cookies called for using the “Peanut Butter Squared” variety of Snickers, but I went to three stores and couldn’t find them, so I used regular Snickers. Of course two days after making these I was in the check out line at Target and saw the Peanut Butter Squared Snickers. Go figure! I will certainly try those next time too! No matter what version you use, if you like peanut butter cookies and you love Snickers, you will not be able to resist these cookies. I couldn’t keep my fingers off of them! They’re peanut buttery, chocolatey, ooey and gooey. Cookie and candy perfection!

Peanut Butter Snickers Cookies
Ingredients
- 1¼ cups (156.25 g) all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon (0.75 teaspoon) baking soda
- ½ teaspoon (0.5 teaspoon) baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon (0.25 teaspoon) salt
- ½ cup (113.5 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (258 g) creamy peanut butter
- ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (110 g) light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1½ cups (225 g) chopped Snickers candy bars, about 4 regular size bars
- ¾ cup (135 g) milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Set aside.
- 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- 3. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the butter and the peanut butter together until fluffy. Add the sugars and beat until smooth. Add the egg and mix until combined. Add the milk and the vanilla extract and mix again.
- 4. Add the flour mixture and beat until flour disappears. Stir in the chopped Snickers and chocolate chips.
- 5. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets. (I weighed mine out to about 2 ounces of dough per cookie.) Gently flatten each cookie ball with the palm of your hand. Bake for 10-11 minutes, or until cookies are slightly brown on the edges.
- 6. Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for about 5 to 10 minutes, then remove to a rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

These cookies were at big hit at our prayer meeting tonight! Thank you Brown Eyed Baker for the great recipes! :D
Saw your top ten post and knew it would have the answer to my cookie craving, this pb choice turned out yummy! I was thinking chocolate and peanut butter and had a bag of mini Reese’s cups from the Easter basket! Eating these as fast as they come out of the oven so I guess I shouldn’t be thanking you for the recipe! And the pb cups with the pb dough was not too much of a good thing, lol! (I also added in some mini semi-sweet chips for balance.)
making these for the first time – very nice! I see why you have to let them cool on the pan for a few minutes before removing them! Theyre going to be a delight tonight! :D
These are amazing! I made them last night for a girl I work with as a well done for her first 10 days giving up smoking she was very happy! Thank You!

This was NOT the recipe to open as I gave up sweets/sugar for Lent!!!! These look amazing and will be making an entrance in my kitchen after Easter! :)
Yummy! These look amazing!
As soon as I saw this recipe, I sent hubby out to buy Snickers bars and I made these! They are undeniably declicious, especially fresh out of the oven when the caramel is still warm! Thanks again for another great recipe that will be made again and again!
PPS The peanut butter cookie recipe I used was from America’s Test Kitchen and calls for chunky peanut butter and additional peanuts so they were loaded with peanutty goodness. But since Snickers already have peanuts, that could be overkill.
I will have to try this as I’ve never met anything Snicker that I didn’t like! I’d also like to share something similar that I recently made … peanut butter cookies with chopped-up mini Reese’s peanut butter cups (dark chocolate ones, of course). I cut the cups into eighths and then put them on a cookie sheet in the freezer for a bit so they wouldn’t get too mushed up being mixed into the stiff cookie dough. The feedback on them was the most effusive and positive I’ve had to date.
PS Love your blog.
That sounds REALLY good! And I’ve been wanting to try the ATK chunky peanut butter cookies, will definitely need to do this soon!
:-)
These cookies were amazing, my husband couldn’t stop eating them! :) Thank you for the wonderful recipes!
Hey,
As a Peace Corps volunteer abroad I often don’t have access to most baking ingredients, even though baking is one of my favorite stress relievers. However, my friends and I have easy access to peanut butter and various types of chocolate powder (ie: cheap Nestle powder) and imitation Nutella. What we like to do is take oats (quick cooking) toast them with a bit of honey on the stove top, then mix with peanut butter, nutella/imitation, and then some chocolate powder. Absolutely amazing (and takes no time at all for an instant chocolate/peanut butter fix). Once I get back to the States, I’ll be trying so many of your recipes, I have a lot of them bookmarked!
These cookies were amazing. I had two with my coffee for breakfast this morning, the diet went out the window. Thanks for another great cookies recipe!
These sound/look perfect just the way you made them. You were probably better off with the original snickers, I reviewed the PB variety and they didn’t live up to expectations.
Oh yes! These cookies look awesome!
Oh. My. Wow.
Wow these cookies look delicious! Peanut butter snickers??? Yes, please!!
