The Weekend Dish: 11/24/2018
Happy Saturday-after-Thanksgiving!
Is your belly still stuffed from dinner on Thursday? Did you shop ’til you dropped yesterday? Are you decorating this weekend?
Our power came back on last Saturday morning, and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving here with lots of family. We spent yesterday getting our tree up and wreaths hung outside; today we’ll get the ornaments on the tree and the rest of the decorations up. My favorite time of the year!
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!

Hi Macy, We ended up ordering out! :)
Pecan Log Roll? Â The stuff of bribed good behavior on long car trips as a kid. I had forgotten about them. Perfect memories for Thanksgiving weekend.Â
Hi Michelle – hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. I always make your traditional bread stuffing recipe and it’s the best year after year. For Christmas I hoping to find a recipe for Italian champagne cookies. I don’t know if they really champagne in them, but they are a family favorite found at many Italian bakeries. I have search, unsuccessfully for years, for this recipe. I don’t think they would be difficult to make (they appear to be a slice and bake cookie) but I haven’t been able to find anything online. Since you have posted many Italian cookies in the past, I wondered if you  (of any of your readers) could help. Thanks.Â
Hi Maria, I will add those to my list, I’ve never made or eaten them!
