The Weekend Dish: 8/1/2020
Happy August, friends!
What a whirlwind of a year this has turned out to be sheesh! This time last year, we were getting ready to leave for vacation at the beach and get the boys ready to start preschool. No vacation for us this year and no idea what the school year will hold. BUT! We’re still trying to make the most of each day and we can all still bake and cook delicious things, right?!

So miss those snuggle together at bedtime and read stories years. Nice to see your family enjoying such precious times! Getting young adult kids geared up for heading back to uncertain University classes. Still in works as to actual classes, hybrid or all on-line. Baked banana bread this week- looking to try your babka recipe when things cool down. Not game to run oven much when it is over 100.
Thank you for sharing such great recipes, pictures of your sweet family and the darling pups!
Stay safe!
Since working from home I’ve enjoyed freshly ground french press coffee on almost a daily basis and don’t want to look back! Meal prep feels integrated into life now instead of a chore. I used to spending Saturdays batch cooking to freeze for workday lunches. I don’t miss microwaving meals even though there is a place for that. Thanks for your blog!
