The Weekend Dish: 9/28/2019
Hello hello and happy Saturday!
It was a WEEK here with lots of running and Dominic keeps waking up at 5am (whyyyyyyy) and I hit an absolute wall by dinnertime on Thursday night. I put myself to bed at 8:45, which I can’t ever remember doing during my adult life unless I was sick, but boy did I need some serious sleep. SO! A relaxing, recharging weekend is planned; my mom’s birthday was yesterday so we’re celebrating tomorrow!
What are you doing this weekend?
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!

And maybe say goodbye to September with cinnamon sugar apple cake?!
Reuben sliders are going to need to happen for a game day!

Have a delicious weekend!
This is a little late, but just found your recipe for pear crisp and I am wondering if it can be frozen after it is cooked? Thank you in advance for your assistance.
I think that would work!
Just so bugs me for some reason when people use blogs to promote their stuff. Lazy attempt at advertising.
Duh, baker website keto kind of opposites. Maybe I’m just in a mood today but it feels intrusive into a lighthearted and unique community to try to pitch something.
My favorite tee shirt now has random tiny holes. I think you jinxed me 🙂
The Brown Eyed Baker is literally the BEST cooking community anywhere. I read it everyday, and I’m also so grateful i found http://bit.ly/INiceCooking, it helped me not only lose weight but cook delicious, hope it helps some others!
OMG your timing is perfect!! I pulled out a recipe for chili from the Magnolia magazine, and now I’m printing out a recipe for cornbread waffles to go with them!! Was trying to figure out what to make with the chili, and was thinking cornbread, but this is better. :)
