The Weekend Dish: 6/10/2017
Hello friends!
I hope your weekend is off to a fantastic start! I did some baking yesterday that I’m super excited about (sweet and salty brownies + another recipe that needs a little tweaking), and might do a little bit more today. Aaaaaaand I want to purge some cabinets in my kitchen, as well. I sort of fell off the purging/organizing train a little bit, and want to get back to it.
What do you have going on these next two days?
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!

Dirt Dessert Recipe – A recipe for classic “dirt” dessert! This easy summer dessert features alternating layers of crushed Oreos and a chocolate pudding mixture. It is made to look like dirt, complete with (gummy) worms!

thank you for all of this! I’ve been looking for 4th of July recipes and the Firecracker Cake looks absolutely wonderful! And, was not ambitious enough to do anything like purge cabinets this weekend!
Oh my gosh, MICHELLE!! I just heard on the German news that your beloved Pittsburgh Penguins won the Stanley Cup. You must be SO thrilled! I immediately thought of you, and I’m so happy for you. CONGRATULATIONS to your great city, and have fun celebrating!

I would love to have a simple recipe for bread. I bake for the mission here in Ga. and an easy fast recipe would be great.
I baked your Blackberry Pie Bars (using blueberries) this morning. Halved the recipe, but since the blueberries were frozen, it took 45 minutes to bake. Can’t wait for them to cool so I can try them. They look & smell scrumptious! Thanks for another great recipe.
