Hello and Happy August to you!

I hope that summer is still treating you well; I’ll admit that I am very much over the high heat and humidity we’ve had here for what seems to be at least a few days every single week. We had a cool evening and morning a couple of days ago and it was GLORIOUS! But, we’re still soaking up all of summer in these next few weeks before school starts.

Wishing you an amazing weekend!

On Brown Eyed Baker This Week

What I’m Loving Right Now: July 2025 – A recap of some of our favorite finds from the last few months!

Friday Things #581 – Saturday pancakes, puzzles, tennis, Iceland, phones, and more…

1. Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro – We’ve had a version of this since before we had kids, and it is by far my favorite small kitchen appliance. We use it every day, multiple times a day; I can’t recommend it enough.

2. Magnetic Double-Sided Measuring Spoons – I had been meaning to add another set to my baking drawer and love that these also include a narrow side for easily getting into jars!

3. Indoor Plug-In Fly Trap – I have used this for the last couple of years; the amount of little fruit flies and bugs that it’s catches is amazing!

4. Dreamsky Alarm Clocks – This is the clock all of our kids have in their rooms (and they brought them on vacation!); the time sets automatically, adjusts for DST, you can adjust the brightness, it shows the day, date, temperature, etc. and the alarm function is easy to set – Dominic figured it out himself. Our kids use these, but they would be great for anyone.

5. Rubbermaid Brilliance Glass Food Storage Containers – I replaced most of our plastic tupperware with these glass containers a few years ago and I love them so, so much.

6. Smart Bird Feeder – We got my father-in-law one of these for his birthday earlier this year and my husband was so enamored with it that I got HIM one for HIS birthday shortly thereafter. We all love this; it’s so fun to see the different types of birds that show up!

7. Cole & Mason Salt and Pepper Mills – We recently bought this set for ourselves as we were badly in need of replacing our salt and pepper shakers. These are a bit of a splurge, but they’re gorgeous and would also make a fabulous gift!

8. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray – This was one of my Prime Day(s) purchases… trying to give my thin, fine hair a boost!

What I Bookmarked This Week

I don’t think my summer will be complete without making this chipwich ice cream cake.

I made these crispy smashed potatoes this week, and they were a hit here!

So much flavor packed into this grilled chicken with pepperoncini garlic butter.

It’s been too long since I’ve had egg roll in a bowl (and love the addition of the fried egg!).

This caramelized Tennessee onion tortellini sounds amazing!

Have a delicious weekend!
