It’s time for monthly favorites!

Here is everything we used and loved over the last month…

Home

Boll & Branch Sheets – We have had these sheets for yearsssss and they are, hands down, the best sheets I have ever owned. They literally get better the longer you use them; cannot recommend them enough!

Scrub Daddy Sponges – I was never, ever a sponge person until I tried these years ago and I can’t imagine using anything else! They clean so well, you don’t need to use much soap and it’s easy to squeeze out the excess water/soap and let dry.

Rubbermaid Brilliance Containers – I love, love, love these containers! These are the ones we use: 9.6-cup capacity (for prepped produce and large-size leftovers), 3.2-cup capacity (my favorite “all-purpose size), and the 4.7-cup capacity (this is deeper than the 3.2-cup but the same size, so they stack perfectly!).

Stanley FatMax Power Station with Air Compressor – My brother-in-law got this for my husband a number of years ago when we were having a lot of power outages and it is awesome. You can use it as a power station to charge things for up to 10 hours, and it also comes with an air compressor that gets TONS of use over the summer when it comes to pumping up bike tires and basketballs. (If you have a Sam’s Club membership, they have the same model for less.)

My Things

J.Crew Factory vintage slub cotton tee – I fell in love with this tee this summer… it is the perfect weight (light without being thin) and I felt like it hung just right on me. I had also tried the girlfriend tee, but felt it was a little too short and boxy for my frame.

J.Crew Factory vintage slub cotton tank – The tank version! Super light and cool, I love it.

Vigoss Jagger Bootcut Jeans – I got a pair of these for my birthday and they have become my favorite jeans. They are not super stretchy and have some structure to them, and fit me so, so well.

Living Proof Dry Shampoo – I discovered this dry shampoo years ago and have never used another since then. I think it’s the absolute best and eliminating any greasy buildup and making hair look smooth, dry and fresh.

Gimme Beauty hair ties – My go-to! And now I buy them for Isabelle too. I love that they never get stuck or tear your hair.

Books, Music & TV

Jack Ryan Season 4 – This season got better and better as it went along! Disappointed that this is the last season, but hoping for some type of spinoff or continuation!

Luke Combs’ cover of Fast Car – Absolutely in love with this cover, can’t get enough.

Demon Copperhead – This started very slowly for me, but once I got about halfway through, I plowed through it. I’m so glad I finished it… It was a fantastic and wonderfully written story, albeit tragic, heartbreaking, and eye-opening.

Malibu Rising – I liked this, I would give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It didn’t quite keep me as invested and on the edge of my seat the way Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo did, but it was still an enjoyable read.

Kids

The Hardy Boys Starter Set – My husband bought these for Joseph a couple of months ago, and he has LOVED them. He reads almost every night before bed and is currently on book #5. (For reference, he is 8.5 years old, going into 3rd grade, and a very independent reader.)

LCD Writing Tablet for Kids – This was gifted to Dominic last year when he was first admitted to the hospital and he and Isabelle have used it nearly every day since it entered our house. Writing letters, drawing pictures, simple addition problems, tic tac toe, they use it for everything. A huge, huge hit here.

Shut the Box Game – Joseph first learned of this game at school during inside recess last year and he loved it! So at Christmastime when he received a game that he already had and did an exchange, he chose this one. It’s a fun quick game that’s great for learning some math and strategy.

Balsa Wood Airplanes – These have been a huge this summer; I’ve even gotten into seeing how far I can get them to go 😄 (though I’ve gotten a couple caught in a tree!). We have the ones linked here with the little landing gear, as well as the regular ones without.

Guardian Bike – We got this for Joseph for his birthday back in January and he has ridden it non-stop this summer. My husband did tons of research on bikes (since this is likely one Joseph will have for many years before needing to get a bigger one) before deciding on this one and was really impressed with how well-made it is.
