The Weekend Dish: 1/4/2020
Happy first Saturday of the new year!
Are you still stumbling around wondering what day it is? Me too, me too. Are you undecorating this weekend? I think we’re holding out until after Epiphany, which is Monday – any excuse to keep those lights twinkling just a little bit longer!
I hope you enjoy these couple of days before getting back to a real schedule on Monday :)
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!

Hello Michele,
Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe with us. I loved the way you explained it.
My mother-in-law used to make this every week. This looks just like the recipe she would have used. It was all from scratch and so good. My husband used to say he could just take a fork and eat the whole thing. He was not a dessert eater and this was the only sweet thing he really liked. Thanks for posting.
I have made the Cafe Rio sweet pork. Its good, but I have never eaten the sweet pork from Cafe Rio.
Amazing blog. I did read your recipes from the provided linnks and i am so in love with some of those.
Thank you so much for sharing these lovely recipes with us.
I hope that picture above is framed and hanging in your home somewhere. That is one happy mommy. It’s wonderful to be able to use the descriptive word, “Beautiful” and not have it refer to physical attributes/appearances, but rather to a rare moment in time that radiates joy and happiness. This picture of you and your children (also from Friday’s post) made me smile. How wonderful the world could be if others used the internet for such purposes.
