Hello and happy weekend!

I feel like we’re barrelling towards the holidays around here, the countdown is on! The kids have one more week of school before break, I’m trying to finish up shopping so that I can wrap everything by the end of the next week. Wish me luck! :)

What are you doing this weekend?

On Brown Eyed Baker This Week

Friday Things #552ย – A fun weekend, snow, Christmas, gift lists, embracing winter, and more…

Deck with Christmas lights on the railing, trees and woods in the background, all covered in snow.

1. Shape Shifting Boxย โ€“ Dominic got one for Christmas last year, and all three kids constantly want to play with it. I picked up two more for gifts recently!ย

2.ย Large Silicone Dough Matย โ€“ I LOVE having a big dedicated silicone mat just for rolling out dough, and the one I have has the measurement markings both along the edges and in circles in the middle, perfect forย pies,ย cut-out sugar cookies,ย pizza dough, and any pastry dough. I canโ€™t recommend this enough!ย (Currently over 50% off)

3.ย Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauceย โ€“ An ingredient that packs tons of flavor into the reader-favoriteย copycat Chipotle chicken recipe.

4.ย Cookies and Cocoa Jigsaw Puzzle – I have this one saved for the week after Christmas!

5.ย Puzzle Advent Calendarย โ€“ There are four different puzzles/scenes to choose from (I got the nativity scene)โ€ฆ each day you put together a 42-piece portion of the puzzle and by Christmas it all connects together into a 1,000-piece puzzle!

6.ย Three-Piece Kids Plastic Knivesย โ€“ These were popular a couple of weeks ago after I mentioned how they are absolutely perfect at cuttingย browniesย โ€“ super clean cuts, no messy crumbs! My kids each have a set of these for helping in the kitchen, but I grab them anytime I need to cut brownies. A great gift idea for kids interested in being in the kitchen!

What I Bookmarked This Week

This no-bake slab cheesecake is perfect for serving a holiday crowd!

I added these snickerdoodle blondies to my holiday baking list.

Baked ham and cheese rolls would be a great Christmas or New Year’s breakfast (or to serve during one of the many football games that will be on over the next few weeks!).

Oooh love this twist on the babka >> sticky caramel-pecan babka loaves

Mushroom chicken is one of my favorite comfort foods.

Have a delicious weekend!
