Hello friends!
I hope you had a fabulous week and are planning to enjoy a couple of days of downtime. The boys are really, really excited about the rocket launch today, they were so disappointed it got postponed. Fingers crossed that the weather is good today and they get to watch! What are you up to this weekend?
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!

What I Bookmarked This Week
Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:
I was randomly craving a mojito the other day and these sound SO good >> cherry lime gin and tonic.
And a similar non-alcoholic version that sounds so refreshing! >> Limeade Slush Punch
Mind = Blown >> Sheet Pan Pancakes
Oh my goodness, this cake! >> Kahlua Coffee Chocolate Layer Cake
The swirls in these gooey cinnamon rolls are so dreamy!
Have a delicious weekend!
This weekend I have been reading and educating myself. Im reading about my privilege in this world and how I can be a better ally to the black community. For too long I have buried my head in the sand. Ive told myself I am not part of the problem as I a first generation Indian American who has experienced racism and ignorance herself . But what I have experienced pales in comparison to what the black community has faced. In being silent I have contributed to this problem we are facing today. I have been complacent and will not be any longer.
Saw some footage of the rocket ship today, amazing.
Thanks for your posts and great recipes. My sister has been making your chocolate chip cookie recipe for my mom for some time now. She makes the dough, shapes them into balls and freezes them for her. Mom then bakes them off as she craves a warm cookie or two for her and my Dad. They are best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had. Thank you for your efforts and care put into your blog. Has brought some sense of normalcy and bits of joy to many a valley lately.
Yes, happy weekend! My only concern with the sheet pan pancakes is that people like me who love the slightly crispy, buttery edges of the single round variety will revolt!
Gosh, I adore your photos of the kids. The one you included today is priceless. Those little saggy PJs! And as always a stalwart Golden Guard! Wonderful family. Thanks for sharing.
I made the Danish Butter Cookies this morning & I can’t stop eating them ! Delicious recipe Michelle ! I used the vanilla but I also added a couple drops of pure anise. They are so flaky & scrumptious! Love the pictures of the children & the puppies ! Enjoy watching the rocket launch this afternoon!!! Stay safe !!!Â
