How is it possible that we have reached the last weekend of July? Totally nuts!

Although, I am unapologetically NOT a summer person (the crazy heat and humidity just makes me miserable), so thinking about cooler temperatures on the horizon is a breath of fresh air! What do you have cooked up for this weekend? My husband and father-in-law are taking Joseph to watch an air show, so I’ll be hanging out with Dominic and Isabelle, and I think my mom is stopping over, so maybe I’ll get some extra stuff done around the house (ahem, clean the bathrooms).

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!

On Brown Eyed Baker This Week

The Best Shepherd’s Pie Recipe – This Shepherd’s Pie recipe is an Irish classic! You can use ground lamb or beef, and the whole casserole is topped with beautifully browned mashed potatoes.

Two plates with shepherd's pie and the casserole dish in the background.

The Best Tiramisu Recipe – Layers of mascarpone custard, espresso and Kahlua-soaked ladyfingers, and cocoa powder make up this traditional Italian dessert.

A piece of tiramisu on a plate with a fork going down into it.

Friday Things – My three peas in a pod, parenting in Austria, food recalls, a mountain lion, new cookbooks, paczki, and more!

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:

Cheesy bacon jalapeno corn dip is seriously the best of everything.

I’ve made these cheesy party burgers before and they are absolutely everything they are cracked up to be!

If you need me, I’ll be faceplanted into this peanut butter fudge ice cream cake.

I have never made king ranch chicken casserole and this one looks ah-mazing.

Brown sugar garlic butter roast pork sounds totally life-changing!

Have a delicious weekend!
