The Weekend Dish: 9/22/2018
Happy first day of fall!!
I am beyond thrilled that the 10-day forecast has highs in the 60’s nearly everyday. Finally! I’m spending the day getting caught up on work since I fell quite a bit behind while everyone in the house was sick the last couple of weeks. Aside from that, football on the TV and good food in the kitchen! What are you doing today and tomorrow?
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!
On Brown Eyed Baker This Week
Easy Apple Crisp – This easy apple crisp recipe is the best you will ever taste. Quick to prepare and bursting with flavor between the apple filling and oat crumble topping.
Pulled Pork (In the Oven) – The best pulled pork recipe made right in the oven (no smoker required!) after an overnight brine and being covered in a simple dry rub. Sauce recipe included!
Friday Things – Putting away baby clothes, Halloween candy, pumpkin cupcakes, TV, and more…

Love the pix of your three cuties. I have a new great-nephew & his 2 1/2 yo sister is crazy about him, though she’s been taking his pacifiers. After highs this week in the 90’s here in KC, this a.m. it’s 48 degrees! I dug out sweats to put on. Hopefully summer is gone. Yippee!! I bought apples yesterday & will bake something “fallish” today – maybe your apple crisp. Enjoy the cooler weather.
