135 Favorite Easter Recipes
Wow, is Easter early this year… it’s only 10 days away, yet I still see snowflakes flying around! Does your family have any Easter traditions? A big brunch… a casual get together… an Easter egg hunt for the kids… typical ham, potatoes, and traditional side dishes? My grandma always baked some special things at Easter, so my mom and I will be making those together before the holiday. I’ll be sharing a few new Easter-themed recipes next week, but I wanted to kick things off with a round up of some of my favorite Easter foods. You’ll find ideas for breakfasts, brunches, appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. If you’re putting together a menu this weekend, I think you’ll find some great ideas in the list below. Enjoy!

What’s on your Easter menu this year?
Thank you for providing links to all these Easter recipes. They all seem so delicious.
Great suggestions for making Easter fun! Besides, the normal egg and various egg recipes, we can make Easter celebration a little more special with above mentioned healthy and delicious Easter recipes.
Easter is a time when the stomach is subjected to strain. A little advice dont forget to pepper with a good pepper as Kampot pepper. Indeed, fresh ground black pepper has beneficial effects on health, especially digestion. In more, this pepper is very fragrant. Happy Easter!
Wow- that is an incredible list! Thanks so much! I love that you have a bunch of great cupcake flavors too. I’m going to wrap them in our Easter Bunny Cupcake Wrappers here http://www.bellacupcakecouture.com/item_136/Pretty-Easter-Cupcake-Wrappers–Bunny-Chick–includes-12.htm. Thanks so much!
I’d love to partner with you sometime on a post. love all that you do!
It is nice that your Mom and you will be making your grandmas recipes together. To me this is what Easter and holidays are about sharing and passing down your culture through family recipes. I know along the way we add new recipes but these old time favorites that I made with my kids they now make with their children. As I enjoy these recipes I remember the family that has long since passed away who taught me to cook and bake from my Mom, sisters and aunts. Happy Easter and Enjoy all of the time you spend with loved ones.
Mmm these cookies are beautiful! I really could go for some orange cookies or banana cream pie! MMmm :) What a great round up!
I’m sorry the new format doesn’t include the commentary about the recipe and whatever is going on around you.
Thanks for the lovely list! I’m wondering if you have have ever made more or less traditional Easter bread. I’m not Christian but my husband is and so I cook on Christian holidays as well. Typically whatever fancy stuff I want but I try to make it specific to the occasion more or less. Last year I made Easter bread. The recipe was v similar to Challah but w lemon zest and maybe something else. It was quite gross :( Growing up, our Russian orthodox neighbors made great Easter bread but I don’t have a recipe. Called it “babka”. Just wondering if you have a traditional Easter bread recipe you like and could share
Hi Irina, I made an Italian Easter Bread, which I have linked to in the list above. I’ll also be posting a Polish Easter bread (Paska) this week.
Thanks for making another great list, you are right about Easter being early, the snow is still falling here in Scotland, my car is snowed in!!! My Nan always made a traditional simnel cake for the family at Easter. She is 92 now and can no longer cope with baking, that and I live at the other end of the country, so I was going to make some simnel cupcakes and send them down to her. A cake would be far too much for her!! Thanks for sharing another wonderful list.
This is quite the list! Last year, I made your Bacon & Cheese Easter Bread for easter :) Every year, my dad makes his famous Chili Egg Puff, which is a spicy egg bake – kind of like a frittata with chiles instead of, um, real vegetables haha.
So many great recipes! We dye Easter eggs and just take time to relax and enjoy life to celebrate. I do wish the weather would get way nicer.
Great list! I always find such great ideas when you do posts like these! Thanks!
Because nothing says Easter like shrimp nachos and rainbow cake. Maybe just a round up of round ups next time, because those are even better.
This is pretty amazing list! Thanks for all the great ideas!
Wow, that’s a lot of recipes! Another evening of checking them all all out before bed! Then I can dream of cookies, cupcakes and hot cross buns! It’s going to be a good night! :)
Michelle
I would love it if you would have a category of your family recipes. The ones you have posted are amazing and I think it would be great to be able to find them in one spot. I especially love the photos of recipes written out by your grandmother. So sweet.
Hi Leia, Thank you for the suggestion!
Such pretty egg cookies! I am thinking I may make some pink eggs too-and try my hand at a recipe I made a while back that uses pickled beets to dye them:

I love the covershot cookies! Well done
