The Weekend Dish: 4/13/2024
Happy weekend, friends!
I hope that the week treated you well and that you get to do something that brings you joy this weekend! Did you eat anything wonderful this week?!
On Brown Eyed Baker This Week
Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce – This is reminiscent of an old-fashioned hot fudge sauce recipe, and it is THE BEST. Rich with chocolate flavor, the perfect silky smooth texture, a short ingredient list, and can be prepared in just 15 minutes. Keep a jar in your fridge at all times for impromptu ice cream sundaes!
Better Than “Anything” Cake – While this cake is better known with a slightly different title, I cleaned it up and called it Better Than Anything Cake (sometimes also known as BTS cake). The flavor combination is unmistakable: a phenomenal chocolate poke cake recipe infused with sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce, then topped with Cool Whip and crushed Heath candy bars. This is ALWAYS a crowd favorite!
Friday Things #519Â – Isabelle’s birthday, hockey, scans, the eclipse, living well, TV, and more…

What I Bookmarked This Week
Want to try these turkey feta meatballs with orzo and tzatziki!
Such a lovely, simple dish >> Chicken in white wine sauce
I’ve never heard of butter swim biscuits, but I clearly need to make them immediately.
I’m not sure that my crew would go for this, but this sauteed cabbage and kielbasa looks so good!
Big Mac tacos, love this idea!
Have a delicious weekend!
The link to the Neutrogena Hand Cream goes to a product that has many negative reviews – people saying that the formula has changed & that it’s now made in Turkey. Buyer beware.
The Big Mac tacos are worth making. They are fast and yummy.
The butter swim biscuits are wonderful. Â They are quick and easy.
Spent a week with my grandbabies in Chicago!  My granddaughter and I ate Korean food, including fried chicken, and chicken and  beef cupbop!  To die for!  Headed home today!
FYI Butter Swim Biscuits are amazing!!! I recently found an apple cinnamon version I’ve been wanting to try!
P.S. Â Just last night I was looking at Salt & Lavender’s Pickle Soup recipe! Â What a great coincidence! Â Take a peek at it; maybe you’ll be tempted to try it too. Â This crazy rainy cold weather we’ve been having here in Pgh makes me want to eat soup for days :)
