The Weekend Dish: 5/22/2021
Hello friends and happy Saturday to you!
Is it insanely hot in your neck of the woods? We’ve gone from 0 to 60 in the heat department this week and, ugh, mid to upper 80’s is NOT my jam. Give me 70ish weather all the livelong day.
But, it’s great to be outside with the kids on a daily basis, taking walks, playing outside, blowing bubbles, etc. I hope you get to do something you enjoy this weekend!

I love the Doubletree Copycat cookies. I’ve been making the version from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe. So good!
I must say that the Doubletree cookie has stayed in my memory for many, many years now. What a wonderful surprise to be greeted with a fresh baked cookie after a long day of travels. And it was a very good cookie🙂
Hi Michelle! Â The DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie recipe has been my favorite for some time now. They are the best! The only thing I do different is that I make them smaller and bake them at the traditional 350-375 degree temperature range. I did not have great success baking them at 300 degrees (nor did I have the patience!). Other than that, the thing that I like about these cookies is that they stay fresh longer than other chocolate chip cookies that contain oatmeal. You should try them! Have a great weekend!
Hi Louise, Thank you for your feedback on the cookies, I’m going to plan to try a batch with the kids soon :)
