The Weekend Dish: 8/5/2017
Hello August!
It’s terribly cliche to talk about how utterly fast this summer (and year, for that matter!) has flown by, but I seriously cannot believe we’re standing on fall’s doorstep. There’s football on TV, pumpkin everything on Pinterest, and Halloween candy at the grocery store. Insanity! That also means that I’m starting to think about a 1st birthday party… October 4th will be here before we know it, so crazy!
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!
On Brown Eyed Baker This Week
Homemade Pop Tarts (Strawberry + Brown Sugar Cinnamon) – A flaky, buttery pastry with strawberry and brown sugar cinnamon fillings, and they’re frosted, of course!
Traditional Southern Banana Pudding – Traditional banana pudding straight from the south – Nilla wafers, sliced bananas, homemade vanilla pudding, and a gorgeous meringue.
Friday Things – Dominic turned 10 months, an amazing carving, jeans, a bread bakery, and more!
