Easter Recipes

Wow, did Easter creep up on me this year! Does your family have any Easter traditions? A big brunch… a casual get together… an Easter egg hunt for the kids… typical ham, potatoes, and traditional side dishes? My grandma always baked some special things at Easter, so my mom and I will be making those toward the end of this week in preparation for Sunday. I’ll be sharing a few new recipes this week that will be great additions to any Easter menu, but I wanted to kick things off with a round up of some of my favorite Easter foods. You’ll find ideas for breakfasts, brunches, appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. If you’re putting together a menu this week, I think you’ll find some great ideas in the list below. Enjoy!

You’re the first person I’ve seen who knows what Paska is! I grew up eating it every Easter, except we cover it with buttercream frosting…best ever.
Thanks for a great roundup! Pinned

Yes! I just sat down to plan my menu and saw this. I always struggle with sides so I’m so glad to see your list. I think I’m going to do the Brussels sprouts gratin. It looks really good and I think it will be perfect for my baby steps into liking them! 🙂

Thank you so much for the recommendation to Baked and Wired in DC. We took a food tour of Georgetown – you walk around with a tour guide learning the history and you make four stops into restaurants – we had tilapia with garlic mashed potatoes at Cafe la rusche, a coffee rubbed skirt steak salad with a side of caramelized cauliflower at Paolo’s, tasting plates at a Lebanese restaurant and omg s’mores and bee stings with iced coffee at …. Yup, Baked and Wired!!! When they mentioned dessert I asked if it would be Baked and Wired and was psyched to find out we were going there. If not, my plan was to politely taste dessert and then head to Baked. All the people on the tour now know of your site as well …. Did I mention I don’t eat fish – which was delicious … Or cauliflower – which was delicious. Lebanese, well my husband whose my CCC as well was in heaven so that made me smile. I am dreaming of that skirt steak, cauliflower and desserts …..the bee sting reminded me of Easter. Thank you again

    Hi Michelle,
I truly love your blog with all the amazing recipes but what I enjoy the most is hearing all about your family traditions/recipes. It is fun to read. Wishing you and your family all the best.
