150 Best Fall Recipes

Happy Labor Day to all of you celebrating the long weekend here in the U.S.! While the holiday typically means and en to summer and lots of back-to-school activities, it also ushers in one of my favorite seasons: fall. I love the chilly, crisp air, wearing jeans, hoodies and comfy sweaters, making batches of soup, watching football and hockey, baking with cinnamon, pumpkin and maple, and a million other things. The whole season emits a sense of coziness and warmth, and I love it. Along with fall comes some of my favorite recipes. As I like to do when we enter a new season, I’ve compiled a list of my all-time favorite recipes that are just perfect for the fall season. There are a lot of them, so I’ve broken them out into categories. I hope you enjoy browsing, and try many of the recipes over the course of the next few months!

What a GREAT list of recipes! I think my favorite fall food is soup. I’m allergic to cinnamon, so I lose a lot of the flavor of fall *sigh*. Which is too bad, because I LOOOVE cinnamon!

Fall is always my favorite time for cooking. There is nothing I love more than a hearty soup, the smell of fresh bread, and pumpkin baked in anything. The heavy, rich smells of fall and winter are so soothing, so comforting. Thanks for compiling such a detailed list. I can’t wait to get cooking.

the list is almost overwhelming but mighty tempting. however, my first fall baking project will be several loaves of honey cake for the Jewish holidays which are at the end of this month. this loaf tastes best after several days of mellowing. started baking this particular recipe about 70 years ago and haven’t missed a year yet.

These all look awesome! Though I’m trying to tone down my sugar intake, I am still comforted by the sweet scents of fall spices baking. And so bake I must! ;-)
