The Weekend Dish: 6/30/2018
Happy Saturday and (maybe?) holiday weekend!
Are you celebrating the 4th of July this weekend? Waiting until Wednesday? We’re holding out until Wednesday since both of our families are out of town this weekend.
BUT! Today IS a special day… it’s Duke’s fifth birthday! We’ll give him a special treat and sing to him :) Otherwise, I’ll just be hibernating in my air conditioning because it’s insanely hot and I cannot stand summer once it gets much higher than 80, ugh.
What do you have planned?
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!

I’m a recent transplant to Florida’s Gulf Coast and I totally understand about hibernating after the outside temps rise above 80! Â Ugh. Â
We have a small home and I have found that our oven heats up the house when I cook. Â So I’m having to rethink our meals. Â Also, four days of the week there are two of us home and the other days there is just me. Â (I love it!) Â I like to carry leftovers to work as well. Â After my chores today I will be delving into your archives to replan our meals!
Have a great weekend! Â Come visit us at St. George Island sometimes. Â September is the best time of the year! Â Temps are below 80 then!
