The Weekend Dish: 5/10/2025
Hello and happy Saturday to you!
I hope you had a great week and some fun things planned for yourself this weekend. Wishing all of the moms, grandmas, aunts, and mother figures a very Happy Mother's Day 🌸 And if this is a hard day for you due to any number of reasons, I am thinking of you and wishing you a peaceful weekend 🩷
On Brown Eyed Baker This Week
Homemade Strawberry Shortcake – Is there anything more nostalgic than strawberry shortcake in the summertime? This classic dessert is made entirely from scratch-flaky homemade buttermilk biscuits layered with juicy strawberries and billowy whipped cream. Simple, fresh, and undeniably timeless, it's the ultimate way to celebrate strawberry season.

Friday Things #571 – A special day for Dominic, friendships, soft serve, journaling, Lego sets, TV, and more…

Top 5 Most Popular Posts This Week:
3. Key Lime Pie
Most Popular Product Shares This Week:
1. Magicteam White Noise Sound Machine – Isabelle has this in her room, and I got a second one to bring with us on vacation; there are tons of noises to choose from, as well as auto shutoff settings (or you can leave it on indefinitely); she loves it in her room, and it was great to have on vacation for all of the kids!
2. Every Day with Babs - I got this cookbook when it came out last month and I ended up bookmarking nearly the entire book. The recipes are very inline with our family's tastes and I could see my kids enjoying nearly all of them! I made her homemade sheet pan crunch wraps last week and they were wonderful!
3. Key Lime Juice - This bottled key lime juice is perfect for homemade key lime pie when you can't get your hands on fresh key limes.
4. Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce - An ingredient that packs tons of flavor into the reader-favorite copycat Chipotle chicken recipe.
5. PrepWorks Cake and Cupcake Carrier - I love that you can transport a layer cake in this, but also put in inserts that allow you to use it for 24 cupcakes, as well.
6. DreamSky Alarm Clock – This is the clock all of our kids have in their rooms (and they brought them on vacation!); the time sets automatically, adjusts for DST, you can adjust the brightness, it shows the day, date, temperature, etc. and the alarm function is easy to set – Dominic figured it out himself and loves to set an alarm for himself on school mornings now.
7. Sunset at Lighthouse Bay Puzzle - The last puzzle that I finished, I loved all of the bright and contrasting colors!
