Hello and happy Saturday to you!

I hope that you had a great week and were able to stay cool amidst the heat wave that washed over many of us. We’re celebrating a family birthday today, and tomorrow I’m cooking up fettuccine Alfredo; what are you cooking or baking?

On Brown Eyed Baker This Week

Friday Things #578 – Summer activities, towels, books, a new-to-me packing method, daily actions, and more…

Little girl with her face painted like a penguin.

1. Copycat Chipotle Chicken Recipe

2. Traditional Key Lime Pie

3. Classic Burger Sauce

4. Grandma’s Banana Nut Bread

5. My Favorite White Bread Recipe

1. GoMacro Bars – I’ve been loving these over the last couple of months, mostly to keep in my purse in case I need a quick breakfast or afternoon snack while I’m on the go. They are filling and the ingredients are pretty clean; my favorite flavor is the oatmeal chocolate chip.

2. Key Lime Juice - This bottled key lime juice is perfect for homemade key lime pie when you can't get your hands on fresh key limes.

3. Large Square Glass Jar - This is the jar I love using for batches of refrigerator bread and butter pickles. Perfect for stashing them in the fridge!

4. Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce - An ingredient that packs tons of flavor into the reader-favorite copycat Chipotle chicken recipe.

5. The Wedding People – I finished this book this past week; I really liked the over-arching message of the book, but it didn’t totally suck me in; I’d give it four stars.

6. Ancho Chile Powder - Another ingredient that packs tons of flavor into the reader-favorite copycat Chipotle chicken recipe.

7. Angel Food Cake Pan - I have had this pan for nearly 10 years and love it; a must-have for making homemade angel food cake!

What I Bookmarked This Week

I made the street-cart chicken and rice from Smitten Kitchen Every Day earlier this week, and all of us loved it. The kids even ate the salad!

I usually make sweet scones, but how good do these cheese scones look?! (They remind me a bit of my breakfast scones from 18 years ago!)

Putting this shrimp scampi on the menu soon!

Love how easy this coffee mousse is to make; I need to keep a batch in the fridge for when I want something sweet at night.

It’s been at least a couple of years since I’ve bought Biscoff, but gosh, I need to make these Biscoff-stuffed cookies!

Have a delicious weekend!
